I was very saddened to hear the passing of my pal Gerry. Gerry would come into dialysis always with a cheeky smile on his face waiting on his cup of tea and chicken sambo. He would tell me about his son and daughter and how proud he was of them, and all his brother and sisters. He use to tell me about his pub he had in England with the beautiful food, and his times drinking in the Eleanora. He was always a gentleman and I'm gonna miss having the chats with him. Rest in peace Gerry
So many happy memories of days and nights at The Witch in Lindfield and race meetings with Gerry Enright. Competitive games of cricket against his invitation XI. Gerry, Walkinstown hero and Irish legend!
Class mate, team mate, walking home from school mate, three hour soccer matches The Tarmac v. Thomas Moore with coats as goals with a plastic ball; we beat the 50B bus into and out of town running, soloing and passing a ball when I bought my first tracksuit in Clery’s when we were 14. Lost touch when I ‘left’ the Castle in ‘72, reunited 4 years ago by chance (thanks Danny), you were so considerate as to insist on meeting in my local, after 48 years, I wondered would we recognise each othe, we did and laughed about it for four hours. I will never forget and will always treasure
your sincerity, humility and sense of humour that night.
May you rest in eternal peace, mo cara.
My sincere condolences to your family, friends and millions of fans.

So many fond memories of Gerry from our Rangers days and indeed a wonderful reunion that we all had with our ‘boss’ Noel Quinn just a few short years ago.
Gerry went on to have a fantastic career here in The League of Ireland and in particular across the water and made us all proud every time he pulled on the Green Jersey.
My own relatives who live in Brighton always talk of the esteem and affection the locals still hold for Gerry and no doubt this will be to the fore at their next home match.
