I was very fortunate enough to be part of Ger's Homecare team in Riverchapel many years ago with my colleague Larissa .We loved his company and many stories of his working days .He was such a gentleman and we often share stories of the great man he was and we will always remember him fondly .May his gentle soul rest in peace .Our sympathies are with his family and friends .

My sincere condolences to Marie and the McGrath family on the passing of Gerry. He was a big character in the DFB and will be fondly remembered by all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Rest in eternal peace Gerry.

My sincere condolences to Marie and family and Gerry's brother at this sad time. I have known Ger for quite a while now and prior to his illness as a valued member of the crew at 'D'watch Donnybrook Fire Station.
Throughout his illness he was cared for in many institutions including; The Mater Hospital; The National Rehabilitation Hospital and St.James Hospital. His demeanour was always one which drew people to him. Prior to his illness Ger was a keen traveller visiting many countries and locations with people he loved to be with. Throughout his illness (which was difficult at times) I have never once heard him complain. Marie was brave to welcome him into her family and her home at a very difficult time in his life. She cared and loved him with kindness along with all her family.
May Gerry rest in peace. He was an inspiration and will be greatly missed.
