I used to work with Gerard in QDS, he was a good friend to me and always took time to talk to me. I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry to learn of Ger passing away. Did not know him apart from a quick chat on occasion at funerals. Now struck by how easy his manner was and his care in assisting all especially the bereaved in their darkest of times. His family are no doubt so proud him. He was part of the Turners Cross landscape and will now be certainly missed from it. Deepest sympathies to his family, friends and work colleagues. Gone too soon but a life so well lived. I did not really know Gerard,i met him a few times in Vicars Road and we would have a chat and then in the funeral home in turners cross but he was somebody that i liked in an instant and always enjoyed seeing him as he was so friendly and cheerful,somebody we should all emulate!! I was teaching Gerard abd was always so happy to meet him when I attended a removal at the funeral home. He always filled me in on the latest news of past students. He was so independent and fulfilled in his job. I am very sad to see his death notice and I offer my deepest sympathy to all his family. May he rest in peace.
