So sad to hear of Gerry's passing. Always smiling, modest yet strong, hard-working, peaceful family Irishman. We send our love and condolences to all his lovely family and friends who as we were so blessed to have known him.  (Sadly there are not many like him these spiritually threadbare days). We witnessed his respectful funeral in spirit with you all and sent the power of our humble prayers, noble intentions and offerings instead as it would mean so much to him and Thelma too! They were both always kind and welcoming to us and we really appreciated that. How marvelous you families and friends were there for him at the end of his suffering and peaceful departure. He would want you to be happy in spirit

I want to express my sincere condolences to Gerry’s family, his children their spouses and his grandchildren, and to his brothers Milo and Tommy and sisters Miriam and Claire. I had the privilege of spending my five years in secondary school in the same class as Gerry. He was one of natures gentlemen back then, always kind to all, with a friendly smile and a helping hand and a kindly nature. Although we never met since we finished secondary school I’m certain Gerry never changed. I lived in Castletogher next door to Kilsallagh and used see the Corrys cycle by my house to mass in Williamstown on Sundays. Rest in peace Gerry, it was a privilege to have known you and the world is certainly a better place because of you being here amongst us
