So sad to hear of Gerry's passing... He had a quirky humour, which I always enjoyed, an he was constantly slagging me! Sonny was always with him... He educated me on flowers an shrubs, an the covering of his Fern Trees in September, an taking off their coats in April when the frost was gone. They're Amazing, I have lovely photos of them. Gerry, you were rooted in Nature, an told me your final resting place with your beloved wife, is the Burren. Rest, in your Eternal Reward!

A very sad loss. We had the pleasure of meeting you thanks to walking Bella. Our chats grew into a sense of familiarity, and your gentle presence gave me a real sense of belonging. It will be very hard to walk past your garden and not see you tending to it or have the chance to stop for a chat with you again. We will cherish all the memories, banter and good chats we shared with you.

We were so sad to hear about Gerry’s passing. He was such a great neighbour and friend – always kind and welcoming from the very start (even to us blow-ins!).

He always had time for everyone, genuinely cared how people were doing, and was my personal supporter during my very short-lived running phase!

He loved his walks, cycling up the hills, and his sea swims. He was so proud of his sons and always had stories about his grandkids – he loved them so much.

Everyone knew Gerry and Sonny around Forest Hills. Not only was he great for a chat, but he was also always out picking up rubbish, trimming hedges, and quietly helping keep the place looking well. Even when he wasn’t feeling great, he kept going with such strength and determination.

Gerry will be truly missed by so many and Forest hills will never be the same.
