Such a lovely man. I met Gerry through his cousin Marie Lyons many years ago, when he and Eileen lived in Athenry. To this day I have plants from cuttings that they gave me from their conservatory at St John's and every time I water them I think of them both. I'm so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace with his lovely wife now. Sincere condolences to all his family.

Myself & Tom would have visited Gerry & Eileen on a number of occasions in St Johns with dad (Martin Somers RIP). They were always so warm & welcoming. It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing away of Gerry.
Gerry my brothers Franky and Noel lived together in Whitechapel were we had many happy times and experiences.
Gerry also got to know my parents and all my family. Gerry spent many hours visiting and spending time with my Mum and Dad who loved him and they got on so well and he was part of our family.We all have very fond memories of spending time with Gerry and Eileen and then when Eileen when she sadly died .I have known Gerry for most of my life and I will miss him as a good friend.
My deep sympathies to all Gerry’s family who he cared for very deeply.
