Gerry Lacey

It was with great sadness that we learned of the sudden passing of Gerry. Gerry was a member of the school community in Drumraney NS for many years and instilled his love of music in many of the students who were lucky enough to have been taught by him. His kindness and patience will be long remembered. We extend our sincere sympathy to the Lacey and Galvin Families. RIP

The Principal, Staff and pupils of Coralstown N.S. are deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Gerry and we extend our deepest sympathy to Catherine, Emma, Ian, Shona and Shane, Gerry's beloved grandchildren and the extended Lacey Family & Friends on his sudden passing.

Gerry taught trumpet for many years in our school and during his time he instilled a love of music in our children. Gerry was a gentleman, a wonderful musician and a gifted teacher who had the biggest smile and the biggest heart. We were all privileged to have known Gerry and to have enjoyed his company. We will remember his patience, his encouragement of the children, his kindness and his sense of humour.

Gerry was one of life's gentlemen who just loved firstly his family and next his music and took great joy from sharing music with so many but especially the young school children in latter years.
