So sorry for the lose of Gerry life, he had always a smile on his face for everyone. He was delightful to travel with to the islands off Mayo and listen to the history of each place. Lunch time he would unpack food from his back pack fit for a king. The dog Pandie traveling by his side .May he rest in peace.

We are all so so sad to say goodbye to our great friend Gerry. He was always a huge part of all our lives at home in Abbeyglen and on the Islands. He was years ahead of his time developing the Connemara Safari Island hopping walking holidays and for more than 20 years he brought so much fun and magic to so many people while introducing them to the Connemara islands.
He was featured on the BBC holiday programme ITV Wish You Were Here RTE Nationwide and many more.
He was natural and had the gift of communication .

I was very sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. When I was growing up, Gerry and Marie were very good friends with my parents, John and Breeda, so our family spent a lot of time in Gerry and Marie's house in Ballina. I have very fond memories of Gerry's energy. His warmth and sense of fun was always apparent. When Clare won the All-Ireland hurling final in 1995, Gerry promptly arrived at our house with a bottle of bubbles. I can still see him in the driveway, a big grin on his face and letting out a joyous "yahoo!" Gerry also coined a nickname for my sister Fiona when she was going through her troublesome toddler phase - "the terror"! The name stuck for a while and we still speak of it fondly in our family, forever linked with Gerry.

Sending condolences to Marc and Caragh, your Dad was very special. All the Keaveney family will remember him fondly.

Dear Marc and Caragh, we were so sad to hear of your dad’s passing and our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Gerry was such a wonderful person and a great uncle to have - so funny and smart, always laughing, eyes twinkling and very kind.
I remember times spent with him very fondly, particularly my time in Schull all those years ago.
