Sympathies to all Gerry's family neighbours and friends. Especially to you Veronica, Marie, Gerard, Sadie, Fiona, Deirdre, Veronica, and Damien, extended family, relatives and friends. Unfortunately was unable to visit at Gerry's reposing, and will hopefully attend his months mind tonight in Ballinamuck. Gerry like many in Fardrummin and Ballinamuck was part of the fabric of your family and our wider community. I have enjoyed Gerrys company and support, advice and wisdom and our many encounters as he visited neighbours, fixing..... punctures at the 24/7 workshop where the cigarette was out and more conservation than work being done. Gerry's presence in your family and among us will continue in our hearts, in our cherished memories, from the happy days of family gatherings, the Geals winning matches, and the many social and community gatherings where Gerry and all of you always took part in ways we are cherishing now.
My mother Alice Sorohan in her latter years never stopped talking about the McKenna's especially Mary Rose, Sadie and Ellie Joe, from growing up together and school days brough back to life at the Fardrumin N.S. Reunion, standing where bonds were made and never forgotten. Gerry and you Veronica are examples of love, faithfulness and neighbourlyness where words and actions speak volumes about living ones life well.
