Deepest sympathy to Mary and family on Gerry's sad passing. Gerry was a special person, a pure gentleman and very musical. Gerry had such a deep knowledge of traditional music and seemed to be able to lilt every tune or play them on his mouth organ. Indeed he taught me several tunes. He was a dear and loyal friend. Years ago before I owned a car, I met him at a fleadh in Ennis and he insisted on driving me home to Galway.
We met him at his home recently, and himself and Mary were such warm and gracious people. We will miss him dearly. May he Rest in Peace🙏
