Many a night Gerry and Vera put me up when I was out on the town with Aiden.
Gerry was a very kind-hearted man and great craic too. I clearly remember Aiden driving in sideways in the Mark 2 escort, the wheels smoking and Gerry asking him where he got the free tyres.

My teenage years are filled with fond memories following Maurice Lynchs band, boasting to my friends “my cousin is the guitarist “, to me, they were every bit as good as the Beatles, especially his rendition off “Johnny be good “ where we jived the night away. They were the good old days.
