On a personal level I knew Gerry and his brothers for many years and have good memories of our times together on the the fairways, and the social events in the clubhouse that we had throughout all those years. He was always in good form and a good example of a true golfer.

Always a gentleman and I would like to remember him as a good friend.

My sincerest to Gerry's wife Kitty, his two daughters and son, brothers Noel and Ronny and the extended O'Connor family. Gerry and I have been friends for over 40 years since we first met at Donabate Golf Club. We shared many years of golfing and golfing holidays; social and family occasions. He was a fiercely competitive golfer. On all these occasions, the fun, banter, slagging and enjoyment were ninety. Old age, as it will, and the advent of the Covid 19 virus ruled out our meeting in recent years but our contact continued on phone. My sons, Brendan and Fergus, my daughters , Miriam, Claire and Ruth wish to be associated with this expression of sympathy. Farewell old friend. I will miss you.
