Sincere sympathy to you Brid, Niamh & David on the death of Gerry. We often had many chats when he was in his garden and he was always in good humour and very witty. I’ve missed him over the past few years. I know he was I’ll and his suffering is now over. May he rest in peace.

Dáithí, very sad to see Gerry has passed away. I only met him once or twice but he was a character. Take care.

To Daithi and Nic, Niamh and Gearoid, Mrs. Roberts and all the grandkids, big, big hugs. I've been able to watch the mass from Paris and it's a beautiful goodbye for a beautiful man. No surprise to hear mention of 'his legendary smile' more than once. He was living testimony to the saying 'it's not what you say that's remembered, but how you made people feel', and with Gerry you always walked away feeling better. An incredible man that will be greatly missed by many, but here's hoping he meets up with Barry for a pint at his next destination. Lots and lots of love, Snuds.

Gerry and i worked together in our company LogArt for 25 years, and were friends since 1976. His twinkly grin and cheery disposition along with his gentle kindness touched everyone we worked with, they all loved him. Our Finnish suppliers , on saying goodbye after our visits used to say ' we'll keep him!' [for Father Christmas, as the factory was in Rovaniemi near the Santa Village!] . he was a mean squash player too! we had great fun playing with him in Dalkey He had such an effect on a huge number of people and is remembered by all. To Brid, David, Niamh and your families i offer my heartfelt condolences , and am deeply thankful for so many happy memories of a very dear friend.

Memories come streaming back of halcyon days in Knockanean school and of later years when Gerry was doing the rounds as part of his job. There was always a bit of reminiscing to be engaged in.
