I first met Gerry when Sheridans took over the company I worked for in Carlow in the mid Seventies. Within two years Gerry persuaded me to move to the garage in Waterford at the age of 19. In the 45 years I worked with him I found him to be a person who expected high standards from others but the fairest most decent man I ever had the pleasure to know. Our sincere condolences to all the family at this very difficult time. Rest in peace Gerry.
