Shocked and saddened to hear about Gerry’s passing. He will always be remembered as a great character when he worked in the Dublin Money market. Condolences to all his family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Deeply saddened to hear this news. I recall the many occasions when one needed a permit (literally) to enter the dealing room never mind speak to a trader ,you may have your facts straight. Gerry was a go to person and always made you feel at ease. We had many good laughs and nights out as he was full of fun. I may have knocked him out of a few card sessions.

Very sad to hear the news of Gerrys passing.He was indeed a larger than life,funny character.Made me laugh so many times. I always smile when i think about him.may he rest in peace

Gerry and I went to school in Newbridge College.

We hadn’t seen him for quite some time and we were delighted when he was able to attend our 50th anniversary dinner last year. He was in truly excellent form but did tell me that he wasn’t well.

Just two weeks ago, I chatted with him on the phone about soccer when he was in hospital. I understand he was a big Liverpool fan!

Gerry was a unique character and he will be sadly missed by his old school pals.
