My sincere sympathy to all of the extended Young family on the very passing of Gerry. He was a gentleman, always in great humour. It was a pleasure to see Gerry anywhere, anytime and no better company one could have.

Our sincere condolences to Gerry’s Family and friends. I met Gerry in UCHG last year and his fortitude, good humour and strength of character in how he battled his illness were truly inspiring. He was a one-off and we kept in touch through his love of the horses. Shocked to hear he has passed – may his gentle soul rest in peace.

Seamus and I used to love meeting him on Friday evenings in Graingers on the Malahide Road, long ago, and chatting for hours. He was very entertaining and great company.
