My sincere condolences to the Murphy family on the death of Mrs Murphy, so sad to hear of her passing. Mrs. Murphy was my Home Economics teacher and she was a fabulous teacher and a lady. Loved her class and they way she thought us and cared about us all.
I remember her advice very clearly and she was right about so much!

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs Murphy. I had her for Home Economics in the convent and she was a lovely teacher. There are several dishes I cook still that she taught me. I met her once or twice a few years later and she was genuinely happy to hear I was doing well in the world. May she rest in peace.

Mrs Murphy was my Home Economics teacher and she took great care of her students. She was heavily invested in us and wanted us to become independent, strong and resilient individuals. As well as covering the Home Economics syllabus, Mrs Murphy also believed in embedding life lessons within her classes.
I remember her advice very clearly and she was right about so much! Thank you Mrs Murphy for everything.

I had the privilege of having Mrs Murphy as my Home Economics teacher in Abbeyfeale for my Leaving Cert. Such a kind hearted, enthusiastic and energetic lady who genuinely wanted the very best for all of her ‘beauties’.
I have often thought of her energy and positive vibes first thing on a Monday morning when when she had us for a double class. In order to clear our heads and prep us for learning, she would lead us in 20 jumping jacks at the start of class to ‘clear the cobwebs after the weekend’ as she put it!
Heaven has gained a very special woman who will be remembered with fondness by all who knew her.
