Gertrude (Gertie) BORAN
(née Treacy)

We were greatly saddened to hear of Gertie's departure from this life. She was always a very welcome and popular visitor in Graig , Shanballymore when she was able to travel South back to her O'Regan roots. Her grandfather grew up in that townland before he eventually made his home in Kilkenny. May she have a bed among the Saints.

I still recall fondly the first time I met Gertie at her home in Dean Street, I felt immediately welcomed and at ease, never have I drunk so much tea in one afternoon before! Your mom was a lovely person. May she continue caring for us all as she looks down from her new and ternal home.
