My sincere sympathy to all of Gertrude's family. Jimmy and Gertrude were faithful members of the All Hallows Sunday morning community. They were such a lovely couple and although you must all be sad to lose her, I suspect she and Jimmy are just beginning to catch up!

Deepest condolences to Susan, Ian and extended families on the death of Gertrude. I was shocked to hear this sad news when in Mount Hybla today for my weekly visit with my dog, Fiadh, whom Gertrude loved. Gertrude used to be waiting patiently in the sitting room every Wednesday at 2pm for us to arrive, and looked forward to Fiadh getting up on to her lap for an ear massage, and then watch her do her belly walk trick across the carpet to other residents! Gertrude was a true lady, so gentle and refined. May happy memories sustain you all at this sad time, and may Gertrude rest in eternal peace 🕊️, and watch over you always. Edel 🌹

So, so sad to hear about the passing of your lovely Mam, who with your Dad, were like second parents to our family growing up in Elm Mount. No-one could bake a mince & apple tart like Gertrude (she always made one especially for me every Christmas). She was a very generous, kind-hearted, thoughtful lady & always loved a visit from Ronan & Eva when we came down from Antrim...they never left No.34 empty-handed! She really missed your Dad Jimmy and it just hasn't been the same without them in Elm Mount Park....they were not just neighbours but true friends.
