I am so very sorry for your loss Jane and all Gillian's extended family. She was a very special, insightful and fun lady for sure. I enjoyed many a chat with her over the years on the tennis court and afterwards in the bar. We still expect lovely Gillian to walk around the corner for social tennis. She is missed hugely. RIP

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our much loved volunteers, Gillian. Gillian gave of her time so freely to support our members here at Friends of the Elderly. Our deepest condolences to all of Gillian's family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all in Friends of the Elderly.

I will miss Gillian’s quick wit and her easy going personality. She was a great asset to our sports club and is already sadly missed.

Dear Jane, i was so sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Gilly.
I have many lovely memories of walking Dun Laoire pier in our early years, with Walter and Evelyn. We often met over the summer holidays when i was in Dublin. Gilly was a big hearted person, so kind and had a great sense of humour.
I send my prayers and deepest sympathy to you all.

Jane so sorry to hear of gillians death its quite a long time since we have seeing you my late parents used to have a shop in wainsfort and your family used to shop there gillian is now with your mam and dad may god comfort you all in your sorrow may her gentle soul rip quilty family

RIP Gillian - such a lovely lady - I only knew Gillian for a short time but had the privilege of being paired with her a few times at the social tennis - we had some lovely chats. She will be deeply missed.

Sincere sympathy to the Wells family on the passing of Gillian. She was a member of St.Maelruain’s Table Tennis Club for some years where we all enjoyed her company and fun both at the table tennis tables and around the supper table at the end of the night. Always a friend to all.

So sorry to read of Gillian's passing. Deepest sympathy to all Gillian's family, friends & neighbours. We played badminton together at St Maelruain's, Tallaght. I normally drove her home afterwards & she often spoke fondly of her family -Jane & Stuart & her nieces. After the club closed I occasionally met Gillian at the service in Tallaght or at St Patrick's Cathedral where she greatly enjoyed the music & singing. She was a lovely gentle person & I always enjoyed our time together on the badminton court, chatting between games & drinking tea on cold winter nights huddled around the small table in the kitchen of the Parish Centre.

I am shocked and saddened at Gillian's sudden death. A more caring person would be hard find. Only 3 weeks ago she made the difficult journey to visit me in hospital several times. We went for walks and coffees regularly. She wss the best of neighbours. Already i miss her greatly.

I know Gillian from HOLY Trinity from the church and the social. My friend Victor and myself gave her a lift any Sunday, she was there ,such a lovely lady. Ah Gillian - so you've left us. I hope you're as shocked as we are and that you weren't afraid. I doubt it - you werent afraid of anything - always showing up and being invloved - such spirit! I'll miss your (mock) stern looks at me when I overdo it dancing in the club - with that glint in your eye - you were such a part of everything.
