We were privileged to have Gladys with us as part of the Cork & Ross Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage for a number of years . She was a Lady of firm faith who had great devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes .

Dear Marie, Eileen, Aggie and the extended O’Sullivan family- Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of dear GLADYS- beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

GLADYS was a lady of immense faith. Unfortunately, The 2019 Cork Eucharistic Procession was celebrated on a very wet day in Cork City. I still recall seeing GLADYS arrive in Daunt’s Square around 1.30pm.- about 1 hour before the Daunt’s Square ceremony was scheduled to begin. In the presence of her Lourdes Pilgrimage friend- GLADYS prayed continuously as the Rain continued to fall. At one stage, I said to GLADYS: “ GLADYS, You will get pneumonia from the cold and the rain “.
I can still recall her reply- “The Rain is part of the Pilgrimage.”
