So sorry to hear of Gubby's passing. I, Breeda, have fond memories of the help Gubby gave to us in Minor Row when my mother, Mai, died. Whenever I, Kate, visited Millstreet, I always enjoyed seeing Gubby, sometimes at her home, and I remember her generous hospitality with the inviting offer of a hot toddy and her bright smile, warm and enthusiastic welcome, all making me feel at home. She will be sadly missed by everyone.

God Rest Her.

She was my Grandmother's last surviving sister and a strong, brilliant, resilient and lovely woman. Her own children and grandchildren are a wonderful legacy that mean a great deal to those of us in the States.

I was privileged and am grateful beyond words to have been able to spend time with her and thank God that my children and wife got to visit with her as well.

She was the last of a generation of our family that experienced the struggle that led to the modern Ireland.

The Fitzgerald Family in Delaware (USA) joins our prayers with our family in Ireland.
