Mary I only just heard the news, devastating, I am so so sorry for your loss, myself and the boys are thinking of you xxx
We first met Graham when he set up Milton Keynes Community Transport and subsequently remained close friends with him for over forty years. We were shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely death and clearly many others are mourning this great loss. His intelligence, compassion, commitment to social justice and to social action combined to make him a truly remarkable human being. Deepest condolences to Mary and Caitie.
Our condolences to Mary, Cait, and their families and friends.

We are sad to hear of Graham's passing. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Graham was very helpful to many in Ireland in the formation and development of rural transport services. He was a shining light regarding mobility and accessibility.
A very kind and honourable man who had great knowledge and vision.
May he rest in peace.
Our heartfelt sympathies to Mary, Caitie, Michael, Adrian, Pat and all the McGuinness and Lightfoot families on the sudden and tragic passing of Graham. For Andrew, Graham was a lifelong friend of sixty years from our teenage days in Iden, Sussex. We shared so many experiences, interests and conversations, spanning countries, hikes, politics, music and literature. He was a renaissance man of great intellect and humour. For Kerrie, Graham was a warm-hearted friend for over forty years and a deeply caring and kind supporter of our three daughters. How fitting that Graham’s lifelong commitment to public transport and community work should be recognised by the President of Ireland, a tribute to a man who committed his life to the betterment of humanity, whose passion to create a better world always guided his thoughts and actions and whose kindness and friendship we will forever remember.

Andrew and Kerrie, Jessica, Miranda and Serena Waterworth and Frances Baskerville (née Waterworth). New Zealand, Australia and UK
So sorry to hear of Graham's very untimely passing. He certainly did the communities he cherished extraordinary service during his time with us. He was a visionary and a challenger in so many ways but with the added leadership skills to enthuse people to get things done. I know that he was plotting and planning to the very end but his work over the decades has resulted in real legacy benefit for those with and among whom he lived. I will miss him.
To my dear Mary, my heartfelt sympathy in hearing of the passing of your loving husband, Graham. I remember how happy you were on your 60th birthday with Graham and especially on your Wedding Day at Peppers. Sorry I wasn't able to make the Wake, but my spirit was with you and always will be. Love, Teresa.

I am saddened by the passing of Graham. He extended his warmth and kindness to everyone he encountered. All my sympathy to Mary, Caitie, Pat and the Lightfoot and McGuinness families. May the comfort of family and friends help through this sad time. Graham's stamp on this world is amazing. From local grass- roots initiatives to global environmental and political issues, he was there to fight the cause and stuck by his principles. But it will be his kindness and warm-hearted spirit that will live in my memory the most. RIP Graham
So sorry to hear the sad news of Graham's passing and sending heartfelt condolences to his family. I first met Graham in the late 70's when we were both involved with community transport in Manchester. Since then our paths crossed on several occasions including as researchers at different times at Loughborough University. Graham was a passionate advocate for mobility justice for all and made significant contributions to the development of community transport as well as the wider field of public transport. He was an inspiration to those who new him and always willing to engage in a debate! He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Mary, my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your beloved Graham. May he rest in peace.

Mary so very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Graham. Sincere sympathy to all the family. May he rest in peace
Dear Mary and Caitie,
We’ve no words to express how shocked and saddened we are by the sudden loss of Graham. Such an open, kind, loving person with great intellect and humor. He changed the course of our lives by offering a co-op placement to Dóra - a university student from Hungary whom he never met - in 2004. Very soon he turned from an employer into a friend for life, and here we are, still deeply involved with Ireland, which became our 2nd home, but one that will never be the same again without Graham.
We’ll cherish all our wonderful memories of nature walks, holidays, dinners, chats, and laughs together and will never forget him.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Graham. He will be greatly missed by us in Budapest also. May he rest in peace.

I had the honour and privilege of working alongside Graham in Clare Bus for a number of years until his retirement.
Graham was passionate for all the community to have access to a reliable public transport service.
He was instrumental in setting up Clare Bus (Ecat) a community led ,not for profit bus service which was a lifeline for many in the community, and allowed many people who had no access to transport to live independently and access essential services.
Graham was so kindhearted and was always striving to improve the community we all live in.
Thank you Graham for all your efforts and may you Rest in Peace.
