I’m heartbroken to hear about the passing of Grainee, passionate, lovely and caring person. She was not only a wonderful person to work with, but also someone I deeply admired and looked upto. It’s still a shock. I called her Chechi, means sister in Malayalam my mother tongue.

I knew of Grainne from her time at Heartlands. Only in passing.

One of the best nurses I have had the privilege to work with, she was someone who always had time to listen, engage and share her knowledge and experiences. We first met at Solihull in Resus with a medical consultant called Summet. I distinctly remember the humour and banter from that day. This was to be my first encounter of what was to be many years of admiration, respect and mentoring. I never felt there was any judgement, she always inspired and advised with passion and understanding. Her knowledge and advocacy was unique, compassion and dedication remarkable.

Thank you Grannie for sharing your wisdom and insight with many, you were truly amazing.
I will always remember you with heartfelt admiration.

I am so utterly shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Grainne and extend my deepest sympathy to Ian and the whole family.

I first met Grainne many years ago whilst exploring becoming an ACP, fast forward a few years and I became her colleague for a short time. Such a strong lady, so passionate about the care of older adults and so brainy it left me in awe

A fab sense of humour and full of brilliant stories. I will never forget our chats about our dogs, a shared love of tayto crisps and tackling some tricky patients together.
