So sorry to hear of the passing of Grainne. A really lovely lady with a sharp mind and quick wit.. Rest in peace Grainne .

My deepest sympathies to Grainne's family and friends on the passing of such a wonderful lady. Grainne was instrumental in allowing me to be the first boy at the AVS to do Home Economics, on condition she said, that I could "get a few other boys to do it too, so you won't be the only boy in the class". She was a fabulous teacher of not just home skills but life learning too. She is the reason I went on to become a chef and became a friend over the years who, when we met, would always stop for a chat about how I was getting on.
She will be remembered fondly by so many. RIP Miss Cunningham xx

I was really saddened to hear about Grainne. May she rest in peace. She was so brave throughout her illness. I will miss my visits to her as she was such a kind, wise and inspiring lady. I had the pleasure of taking her Letterkenny Hospital on a number of occasions for her hospita appointments and it was a pleasure to have done so.A real lady in every sense. It was with great sadness that we heard the news of Aunty Grainne’s passing. Both myself and my brother have very fond memories of spending time with Aunty Grainne on visits to Ireland throughout our childhood which we fondly cherish. May her soul rest in peace and be reunited with Granny once again. My thoughts are with the entire family at this time. All of our love.

In my lonely troubled teens she was a great support to me and i knew how much she genuinely cared. I thank her for that and know she is with her heavenly Mother, who she was devoted to in this life. My deepest sympathy to Baba and Grainne's ( Miss Cunningham's) family and friends on her sad passing. I was lucky to have her as a teacher and she was was a brilliant one. To this day I still use some of the tips and skills she taught us in the early years of secondary school and I remember it with fondness and it was invaluable teaching. She was a lady with a lovely manner and sense of humour and fun also. May she rest in peace.

Aunty Baba, my thoughts and prayers are with you tonight. Diarmuid and I are so grateful to have spent time with Grainne along with Tony, Colette and Christine when we were home in February. I know Mammy has welcomed her sister home and she is at peace now.

So sorry to hear of Grainne's passing today. I had the privilege of being a student of hers for my Leaving Certificate in 1988. She was such a wonderfully warm lady who inspired so many of us. She was kind, patient and compassionate. May her gentle Soul rest in peace.
