Dear Family - we are saddened with the death of our beloved Cousin, Grainne...Although not able to be with you today, Fr.Jr. and I were with you in spirit as we participated in the beautiful Mass for Grainne. We are sending you peace in this most difficult time.

To Johnny, Orla and all of Grainne's family in Dublin,
I worked with Grainne for about 20yrs at the M&S Outlet in Livingston. Not only was she a great colleague but a truly lovely friend. My shifts were always better and brighter if Grainne was there to put the world to rights with. I am so very grateful that we were able to meet up for coffee quite a few times before I moved down to Alnwick in September and I had hoped that she would come down with Anna to visit sometime.
I am so glad that Grainne was in Dublin with all those people who meant the world to her and absolutely heartbroken to send this message of condolence to you all.
The service this afternoon was beautiful and I am really grateful to have been able to participate from afar and say my goodbyes.
You are all in my thoughts. Sending my love x

In Loving Memory of Grainne

It is with a heavy heart that I express my deepest condolences for the loss of Grainne, a dear friend and colleague whose presence touched so many lives over the years. For 14 years, Grainne was an unwavering support, always offering a listening ear, a kind word, and a genuine concern for others. Her ability to empathise, follow up, and make others feel valued was a rare gift.

Grainne’s infectious smile and cheerful spirit could brighten the darkest days. Despite her own personal struggles, she always made time to spread positivity and warmth, and you couldn’t help but be drawn to her. She was a beautiful soul whose light shone in all she did.

Her love for her family was immeasurable. Orla, her daughter, was her pride and joy, and Johnny, her rock, was her constant support. Grainne’s devotion to her parents, siblings, and all her loved ones was a testament to her caring nature. Family meant everything to her, and her love for them was one of her greatest gifts.

Grainne will be deeply missed, not only for her kindness, but for the way she made each of us feel – supported, understood, and valued. My thoughts are with her family and all who were fortunate to know her during this incredibly difficult time.

May God bless her soul and bring comfort to her family. May her memory continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Grainne.

Gráinne was a walking light. She was full of warmth, and joy, even when it seemed things were against her. Always ready for a chat or gossip, and always willing to be a shoulder to cry on or listening ear.

I fondly remember seeing her different nail designs every few weeks, which matched her spirit-bright and eccentric.

When we met, she took me under her wing-and encouraged me to stand up for myself and access the support I needed (regarding my disability), which I greatly needed and will forever be appreciative for.

All round, Gráinne was an absolute delight. She will be missed sorely.

It is with deep sadness that I heard of the untimely passing of Grainne. We went to Mercy College together back in the day and attended Maths grinds together for our inter cert. My memories of Grainne are of a kind, warm, funny and generous girl and I am all the better person for knowing her. I extend my deepest sympathies to her husband John and daughter Orla, also to her Mam and Dad and to Maire, Ursula, Siobhan and Malachy in their great loss.

Dear Malachy Aggie Grainne’s siblings Husband John daughter orla and extended family. Words cannot express the loss of a daughter sister wife and mother the days to follow are going to be very hard especially after the weeks have gone by and people are not around to give a hug and ask how are you ? Now I always say GOD WORKS in a strange way while it is extremely sad that Grainne has passed away but thank god Grainne was home with her loving Mammy and Daddy that is the only consolation they have to hold onto. May Grainne fly high in heaven and watch over her husband John, daughter Orla, her beautiful parents and siblings May she rest in eternal peace amen.
