Our deepest sympathies on the very sad passing of Grainne her son Jake Mam and Dad Phyllis and Peter sisters Carol, Fran, Jakes Dad Phillip,brothers in law Dave and Ciaran all the relatives and friends beautiful young lady Rest in Peace Grainne.

Mr & Mrs Wall, Carol, Fran, and Jake and Philip and extended family, I am so deeply sorry to hear of this desperately sad news about Grainne. We had been the best of pals during our teens and early 20's. Many happy memories full of laughs. I'm so very sorry and am thinking of you.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Gráinne’s passing. I spent many years working alongside her while on the PA in Ballyroan Boys NS. She was always so determined and capable. Later on, she was responsible for me taking up a volunteer position in the Ballyroan Youth & Community Centre with the Friday Active Age group. We had many crazy mornings, outings and Christmas parties. She was hysterically funny, truthful, and hard working. She was a force to be reckoned with. She was so unbelievably proud of Jake, from Scouts to football to fishing, she was all in. He was the absolute apple of her eye and her whole world and she had no qualms telling us all as much.

My deepest condolences go out to Jake, on the immeasurable loss of his Mum.
To Phyllis, a member of my Friday Active Age group, Gráinne’s Dad, sisters and extended family, I am deeply sorry for your loss.
To Gráinne’s best friends - Rachel & Sean. You had a once in a lifetime friend in Gráinne. She spoke of you both often. How lucky are you both to have known such love and friendship. She has left an empty chair that can never be filled.

May Gráinne rest in eternal peace.

Gráinne was so nice and helpful and very enthusiastic too when I started tennis lessons for the school kids from St Kilian's N/S a few years back in the community centre.

It was with great sadness we learnt of the passing of Grainne. Jake our deepest condolences to you and all your family. Grainne was so funny and kind and always had a welcoming smile. And Jake she was always so proud of you and all your achievements. May she rest in peace.

We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Grainne. Our deepest condolences go out to Jake, Fran and all the family at this very sad and difficult time.
Grainne was a volunteer for the 14th Ballyroan Scout Group for many years and was a active Scouter. Grainne was a respected, selfless Scouter with a can do attitude, a great planner, and always put the youth of our organisation first. The Cubs and Scouts who passed through the sections she volunteered in, will always remember the warmth, support and guidance she gave them, on their Scouting journeys.
Grainne was also a great fundraiser and managed many cake sales, raffles etc. representing the 14th Ballyroan Scout Group in the Community over the years.
She will be sadly missed.

To Jake and all Grainne's family. So sad to hear of Grainne's passing. She was a great asset to us in the Community Centre in Ballyroan and made a huge contribution to the programmes with our active age residents. She will be missed by all.

Many of my childhood summers will forever be filled with memories of Grainne, Wexford in particular, such a laugh we used to have with her, she was full of fun and divilment and always had a twinkle in her eye. Jake, Peter, Phyllis, Carol and Fran, I cannot find the words to tell you how saddened myself and all the Spain family are at the loss of your beloved Gráinne. I have so many happy childhood memories of hanging out with Gráinne in Templeogue Wood and Old Bawn. Playing rounders on your field with all from the road, after school tomato soup and arts & crafts club on monday afternoons in Old Bawn while Phyllis and my Mam chatted for hours on end, our wonderful holidays in Tara Hill and our endless hours of fun on Saleen beach, sneaky cigarettes and robbing Uncle Peter's More cigars, we thought we were the height of sophistication. Gráinne was a daredevil and so mischievious but we never got caught out! Sure Peter and Dad thought we were all angels. I looked up to Gráinne, she was way cooler than me and encouraged myself and Sinead to do the mad stuff. How jealous was I when she got her confirmation outfit in the Dress Circle in Terenure wearing trendy trousers while I had my Arnotts suit! Jake, I met your Mam last November and she was so proud of you and couldn't stop talking about you. She fought so hard to stay with you, all she wanted was to be around longer for you. She said "it is what it is and I just have to get on with it". She was one very brave lady. It was a privilege to have known her and called her my friend. May her lovely soul rest in peace.

Grainne,
You were one of the best friends any of us could have hoped for growing up in Templeogue. Funny, fearless and straightforward.
You were absolutely besotted with Wham and mourned their breakup in '86. Every December I think of you whenever "Last Christmas" plays.
Kick the can, rounders and sneaking into 'Paro' were all part of the perfect summers that we never wanted to end. It's fitting you should leave us before the end of summer.

Peter, Phyllis, Carol, Fran & Jake, I have no words to tell you how desperately sad and sorry I am that you have lost your precious Gráinne. I have nothing but happy memories of Gráinne and times spent together as children on various holidays and outings, she was such good fun & always up for a bit of mischief. When we last met I was amazed at her positivity, she was strong and brave and she fought so hard to stay with you all, Jake you were her pride and joy.
Dad has asked me to pass on his condolences also, he was so upset on hearing the news. All in the Spain family will remember Gráinne with much love and affection. I am thinking of you all at this really difficult time.
