I knew Greg many years ago in transit from Cork where I was in college
A true gentleman and I only heard of his passing just before Christmas from a friend

gosh was very sad to hear of Greg,s sudden passing, our friendship dates back to the early 70,s where we had a valued group of friends, a true and wonderful pal was Greg and even until very recently we used to meet at Mary street post office to collect our pensions every Friday, always a kind word and a beautiful smile for everyone, deepest condolences to Marie, Kieran and all the Doherty family.
He will be very missed.

Like Joe Keogh I have very warm memories of Greg's spirited decency and kindness in the 1970s.
