Oh Greg....Our Admin Team across Haringey Adult Mental Health Community Teams will just not be the same without you. I write with much sadness and so wish I could have seen you to say 'bye for now'. What an incredible gentle human, a powerful yet quiet presence you had - the cornerstone of so many events over the years - at Canning Crescent, in EIS and across our Admin Teams in Adult Mental Health in Haringey. I have been privileged to work with Greg since I commenced my role in January 2020. Greg has welcomed me in the Team and was open to helping me to settle in the role. He would walk up to my Office for a chat., support and guidance when we were both in . He was happy to help the team in anyway that he could. The Team has not been the same since his sudden death. We are all so deeply saddened by the passing of our lovely Greg, he was a great character who got on well with everybody. He is going to be so very missed by all the staff and customers at The Red Lion. We can still see him singing “you’ll never walk alone” after the European Cup final!

I was pleased when he moved to our team and agreed to go permanent after much encouragement.
I will miss his contributions to work not least for his wry humour and his initiative organising social events.

I have been Consultant Psychiatrist in the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust for many years. For the last five years Greg has been my closest collaborator in many respects. His razor-sharp wit and effectiveness made him an exceptional administrator - albeit he seemed widely underchallenged by his role. I much appreciated his methodical and unfussy style of dealing with the job, whilst making it look so easy. Greg was often unapologetically grumpy and could cut through absurdity of NHS bureaucracy with dry humour. He in recent years became the centre of our active social life around team events. He organised legendary Christmas events and team nights out and was a person I loved to connect with during my often challenging working day to feel like 'touching base'. I had a sense of mutual respect and trust, when interacting with him, which made it easy to communicate openly without saying much. I often said to others - and to him directly - that I couldn't do my job without Greg 'covering my back', quietly alerting me if something had been missed or something needed special attention. Greg's presence in our team was proof to me that people can be who they are and people don't need "to fit it" in order to be invaluable to the society they live in. I will miss his grumpy, gentle personality dearly.

Whenever I bumped into you be it in the shops or in the pub .Always had a kind word and a smile .At least you got to see Liverpool win the premiership Will miss you dear friend
