Gus SCOTT

Just heard that Gus has passed away. Such a nice man. We worked together during all the years he was in Offaly. He was so poplar here, he almost became one of our own. This news is so sad. Rest in peace Gus.

I had a long association with him and had many discussions with him on politics, radio (Tipp Mid West), farming and life in general. He had a great depth of knowledge and a keen interest in current affairs and in the fortunes of the Ahearn family in political life. He also took a great interest in my daughters progress in life and always asked for them, even doing so on the last occasion we met earlier this year. He made a great contribution to the application process for Tipp Mid West Radio and to various funding projects for the station. God rest his gentle soul. Rest in peace Gus.
