Dear Siddy, Sue, Emma and Josh. We are absolutely devastated for you, and are so sorry for your loss. I have so many childhood memories of Guy's infectious and hilarious personality. His wonderful generosity and kind spirit always shone through. In Spain, I'll never forget, when the girls were getting a perfume in the airport, he so very kindly insisted on getting me one too and absolutely would not take no for an answer. Dear Siddy and family. Myself & Linda only learned of Guy’s passing yesterday. Our hearts go out to you all on the loss of a great husband, father and larger than life character. I first met Guy 50 years ago as we both lived off Newtownpark Avenue and he came around to my house to inspect my Lego collection, not sure that he was too impressed, as the next time I ran in to him was in Oakdale 45 years later when I discovered he was married to you Siddy! I recall with fondness him sitting in on our meetings relating to your late Mum and Dad and never once did he encroach on the business relationship that had existed between our families for almost 70 years, despite the fact he was so involved in Arachas. For that reason alone he was a true gentleman but what became abundantly clear to me was his joie de vivre and his fun side and encapsulated by perhaps one fact that I was labelled really quickly by him as “Roscoe” which is coincidentally what all my close friends call me…..how did he know that 😊? Linda & I can’t fathom your loss as a family but hopefully all the memories of laughs and fun will outweigh the sadness in time. RIP Guy.
