Hans was my next door neighbours in Marbella,Only 6 months ago myself and Hans were having more than a few beers on my patio.Iam saddened to hear of his passing.Rest in peace my friend I will have a couple more beers in your memory.

I first met Hans when I joined the club in the early seventies and right away we hit it off. He organised a tour to Amsterdam and The Hague early on and it was spectacular. I was smitten. Hans epitomised everything good about life and about sport - Rugby in particular. An absolute gentleman on the field and off and such a privilege to have known
him so well in my time in Limerick. I had no idea that he had not been well of late. To Anne, Tara, Peter and the wider family my sincerest condolences. Ar Dheis De Go Raibh a anam Dilis. Rest in Peace Hans.

My heartfelt sympathies to Ann and all Hans’ loved ones. We had the privilege of his company on Monday afternoons for almost 14 years in Croagh school of Music. I am honoured to have played a part in nurturing his musical talent and it was a huge pleasure to watch him develop into such an accomplished piano player. He had an understanding and appreciation of musical theory that many desire and was in the final stages of preparation for his Grade 8 piano exam with The Royal Irish Academy of Music this year. I will always remember our chats with a special fondness and will miss his wise words of wisdom.
