I was with great sadness I received the news of Hans' passing from Shawnna. Hans and I became fast friends and spent many hours discussing the events of the day or those in our lives with each other during his time in Toronto. He even went so far as to try and school me in football but as usual I was a poor student. He asked me to be a Godfather to Shawnna which I will do my level best to honour, all the while wishing it was he here to have that happy task. I will miss his humour, his mischievous nature and his company. I will miss my friend.
