Dearest Betty and family. I just heard from Joe today of Harold’s passing . I’m here in Charlottesville VA USA with My Brother Chris and his family and Peadar’s family close by also . Sending You so Much Love and Hugs to you. Our condolences to You . Thinking of you All this Day and always

My deepest condolences to Betty on Harold’s passing; and to their children, children-in-law and grandchildren along with the Whelan and Fitzgibbon families

He was an outstandingly good example to me from the moment Betty introduced him to my family approximately sixty years ago. I am deeply in their debt for all the kindness and good humour they both shared with my entire family through the decades.

We last met in St Joseph’s Church in Limerick in the Spring of 2019 when they generously attended a Mass to commemorate my brother, Peadar’s, death in America. Thankfully, a long-term illness had not robbed Harold of his tenderness or good looks.

Deepest sympathies to Betty and all the family, I'm thinking of you. We will miss Harold and always remember the good summer days together in Castlegregory.

Harold was a unique gentleman, always willing to engage and be helpful. We shared a love of fishing and our paths often crossed at Lough Caum in Castlegregory where he would tell me the bait that was working for him on the day to hook a few trout and pass on other tips.

Betty, Paul sends his condolences. Harold and you were so kind to him all those years ago when you looked after him so well while Ann and I worked. I know that Ann was very fond of Harold.

To Betty, Alison, Micheal, David, Harold our sincerest sympathies. We have so many fond memories of Harold. One of my favourites is the time himself and my Dad arrived up to the Tralee Bay Hotel disco to collect myself and Alison, which was great except for the fact that they walked straight on to the dance floor decked out in full fishing gear, including waders and fishing rods! Myself and Alison nearly fled the building in mortification. He knew how to have a laugh and was a great friend to my parents.He will be missed. Thinking of you all, Maeve, Stevie and the girls.
