I was very sorry to hear of Harry's passing. My sincere sympathy goes to all his family. Although we worked in different Departments in Guinness our paths frequently crossed. He was always a gentleman, so obliging and happy to help - resolving issues without a fuss. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Dear Ruth, I heard, today, about your dad’s death and I remember how you spoke about him. Your love for him was so strong and obvious. I know it is hard indeed to begin to know the world without those we love. For you and your family,especially your mam, it is a sad time and despite the loss, I hope that memories shared or privately recalled will continue to heal and help as you adjust to his absence from you all.

Dear Phil, Rob, Aoibheann and Ruth, please accept my sincere condolences.

It has been so sad to learn the news re Harry, a gifted and helpful person, unremittingly keen to offer support to others.

He was such a fine colleague on the Guinness Engineering team, always willing to contribute.

In my own case that support lasted well beyond our time at St James’s Gate. When I faced serious health issues in recent years, Harry was regularly in touch, for a chat, a visit, a shared coffee rendezvous, giving his time freely, a true measure of a great person.

Harry often asked after my father who was an older colleague of Harrys in The Brewery.
I was sorry to miss the opportunity to pay my respects in person as I only learnt of Harrys passing this afternoon.

My fond memories of Harry as a very decent helpful with a great sense of humour gentleman who played a sport none of us understood .
His dedication to you all was always exemplar .
First met him with my mother in Orchard terrace and along with his lovely elegant mother always impressed me with his kindness .

I loved bumping into Harry and his dog around the neighbourhood - my usually shy dog Monty was mad about him too. He was such a kind soul, we'll miss him on our walks. My condolences to his wife Phyllis, his family, friends and all that knew and loved him.
