My deepest sympathies and condolences to the wider Lawlor family on the passing of Harry. Very sad to have just heard this news. Ive nothing but great memories of Harry in my early youth. Harry was an inspiration and male role model to me at a time in my life when I needed it. Such fond memories of all the hiking trips with Harry and Alan and the time I spent in Kilmacud with you all. Rest in peace Harry.

A gentleman Harry was and his late wife Thecla an absolute lady.

Remember them both from doing the computer course in St Benildus many years ago.
Use to still see Harry around Kilmacud in the years after Thecla died. He was a great walker in the area.

We remember Harry from the chaotic student / other days of our early 20s. He was the parent everybody wanted to have, the one you weren't ashamed to show to your friends. When we almost set fire to our rented house, Harry was there, in his professional capacity. I mostly remember his smile, and the goodwill that radiated from it. That was a long time ago, but we're very glad his family and friends got to keep him close in all the years since. As long as he was in it, the world was a better place.

Condolences to Harry`s family. Harry was a truly positive force of nature particularly during training the class of November 71 of which i was a member. He sent us out after training thinking we could change the world and for having known him I feel I am lucky one. Rest now Harry , you have changed the world.

Harry led from the front, he set high standards by example and expected the same. The sheer number of recruits he set on the path is testament to the character he was. Few people get to leave such a meaningful, significant and enormous legacy. Harry was and is a highly respected individual by those who knew him and thousands who didn't know him have nevertheless benefited from his discipline and insight. An entire city remains the richer for his contribution.
Gay Byrne used to ask "When you meet Him, what will you say?" Harry's response must surely be..."BY THE LEFT.......
