I was so so sad to hear of Harry's passing. I worked with Harry in The Shelbourne Hotel for a few years twenty odd years ago. He was a brilliant worker with a natural hospitality and was very popular with his work colleagues. Sincere condolences to all his family and those who loved him. R.I.P. Harry, it was a pleasure to know, and work with you.

Nice too see so many lovely Comments for Harry , I met Harry as a customer in The Geogre Pub were he use too work years ago , He was very Friendly and always sticks in my mind, Its very Rare you would meet a staff Member or a person like harry that u can feel his smile and it just wasnt a job he was doing it was just genuinely the way he was , R.I.P Harry

I had the pleasure of working with Harry on St Michael’s ward. I had heard lots about him before I met him, mainly from the many patients who spoke highly of his toasted sandwiches late at night! Harry went above and beyond for patients and staff alike . Unfortunately I never got to try one of those famous toasties, but I did have the pleasure of many lovely chats and laughs. You truly were one of the greats Harry, a real gem and you will be sorely missed in Crumlin. My sincere condolences to all of Harry’s family. RIP.

Harry embodied the true meaning of kindness, care and empathy. He listened to and looked out for everyone he met, not only the patients and families but the staff too. He had such warmth, joy and humour that always made you feel at ease.

It was such a pleasure to have known and worked with him in Crumlin. From some of his very first shifts on nights to cheering him on as he celebrated receiving a very deserving award for HCA of the year, I will cherish these memories.
He will be sorely missed by so many.

I had the privilege of working with Harry on St. Michael's ward and he became one of my truest friends. He opened his home to me, like he did to many, and I will be forever grateful for the friendship that followed. I am heartbroken but will hold on to the memories we made together from walks around Rialto, replanting your little garden and all your help on my wedding day!

Harry, you had an impact on every patient and family that you came into contact with, making their day easier in whatever way you could. You went above and beyond and I was so so proud to call you my friend. Your warmth and kindness had an impact on everyone you came into contact with, and that will be your legacy.

There are not enough words to express how deeply saddened I was to hear of Harry’s sudden passing. A true gentleman, with a love for life and helping others that knew no bounds. So rarely in life do you meet someone so kind who looks for nothing in return, and was always a friend to all- this was Harry. Always had time for everyone he met no matter who they were.
Working alongside you and seeing first hand the dedication to our patients and putting their needs first, time and time again was a true privilege.

You made an excellent tea trolley on nights, a tremendous fry on Christmas morning and always a great man for a laugh and a story! An real Dublin gem!

I will miss seeing you on the corridors, with a smile that could brighten the darkest of days and a twinkle in your eye that made you so giddy and happy.

You'll be so missed Harry, always so friendly and caring to eveyone you met! I had the privilege to know you when you worked in the George Bar! I can surely say you were a central character of our community that brought so much happiness to people's lives on many nights out.

I fondly remember your caring nature, giving me a few words of wisdom as a young 18 year old man with no common sense about the big city.

You had such a lovely way about you, a very humble and warm smile and nod! The odd eye roll or at the nonsense or notions you'd be dealing with at the bar which was always funny.

I had the privilege of working with Harry on St.Micheals ward.When Harry was on the children .parents and staff knew it would be a fun night. He brightened up the childern's stay in the hospital and he was delighted to bring joy and happiness to everyones lives. He would make me a lovely brandy pudding every christmas and when he give it to me he would say theres a good amount of brandy in that now enjoy it .... He was always up for a laugh and he was very thoughtful and kindhearted . He will be a big loss in the hospital.. May he find his eternal rewarding everlasting peace .May the Mahon family find comfort and strength in the caring and loving brother they had. He has left cherished memories behind. I first met Harry when we worked for nurse on call we use to do shifts in CHI and St james hospital he ended up permanent in CHI and i ended up in james. We lived close to each other other so would see him on a regular basis. I first met Harry when he was a barman at The George. He was always welcoming, friendly and chatty. In more recent years we bumped into each other as neighbours when he was a care worker. It was always a pleasure to meet him. I imagine he’s looking down at us with his cheeky grin and warm smile. Rest in peace Harry x
