A perfect photograph to bring Hazel back in our thoughts. I recall watching for her rucksack at the bus stop where we used to collect her on the way to the hills. A wonderful and cheerful companion on many many walks. My deep sympathy to all her family.

Hazel, a free spirit.

For me, a late joiner to Ramblers Hillwalking Club, it was a joy and inspiration to meet Hazel. She never lost the youthful enthusiasm. Never fussy or pompous, but a great depth of knowledge and experience was worn so lightly.
May Hazel rest in peace and May her spirit soar and endure in lives and actions of her beloved children and grandchildren ( of whom we often heard fond sentiments) .
