Hazel Hennessy

I am so sorry to read of Hazel's passing. What a lovely lady she was. A group of us attended dressmaking class in Callan some years ago and Hazel would welcome us all, stay for a chat and lock up at the end of the evening. A beautiful soul and now she is now a beautiful angel in Heaven. Rest In Peace Hazel.

I remember Hazel from when I was doing voluntary work in Callan over 30 years ago. She was full of energy and the attitude of tackling anything... she gave so much service to her local community. Condolences to her family

Condolences to pat and the Hennessy on this very sad time. Hazel was a lovely woman all ways had a smile and a chat or a hello when i used to see her couldn't be any nicer. I used to get the newsletter off her years ago out the church on a Saturday night mass when ya see her bike there i new she was there to. Hazel will.be very sadly missed. Sincerest sympathies to Pat, Robbie, Owen and all Hazel's family and friends. The genuine shock and sadness felt in Mount Carmel last Tuesday soon spread throughout Callan and to everyone who knew Hazel. I hope she knew how well she was regarded as a result of her time with the Scouts, Callan Parish Bingo, the Droichead Centre in West St and the many nights she stood outside Callan Parish church selling the newsletter. Her presence will be missed by the residents and staff of Mount Carmel for a long time to come. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilís.

I'm so sad to hear of Hazel's death. She was a kind soul, had plenty of chats for everyone and was a very hard worker. Hazel is such a part of Callan its hard to believe we wont get to see her again. May her memory bring joy to all who knew her ♡
