Kevin, Mary and Brian, my most sincere condolences on Hazel's passing which I only learned of today. Hazel was a dear friend of mine when we worked together in Moyvalley and I have such previous memories of her, our many joyous and laughter-filled nights out in Dublin and Maynooth, the great listener that she was, and her care and kindness when anyone was going through a tough time. I can't begin to imagine how much you will all miss her. The world is a duller place without Hazel, her kindness and her wicked sense of humour. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I spent several years sharing an office with Hazel. She was such a gentle soul but always up for a laugh.
My overriding memory of Hazel is how lovingly she always spoke of Kevin and her parents. They were obviously her world.
My thoughts are with Kevin and her parents. I am also the mother of an only child and cannot imagine her parents grief, may they be comforted by all their lovely memories of her.
