My sincerest condolences to Martin and his family. I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss.
I first had the pleasure of meeting Helen and Martin 15 years ago when they hosted my mother and me as part of the Irish-German student exchange. At that time, I barely spoke any English and was an intimidated teenager. Helen was incredibly patient and kind with me. She treated me like one of her own, taking me for coffee and shopping, and showing great understanding as I stumbled thorough my attempts at speaking English.
I will always cherish fond memories of her in my heart.

Helen was one of the kindest, most genuine and authentic people I have had the pleasure of knowing and living opposite to, these past 29yrs. There was always a warm welcome when you stepped in that door and I usually left with plenty of jam and marmalade, under my arm!!
She was definitely the ultimate matriarch and she kept all of you men in line.... and she kept me in raspberry and strawberry jam!! All i can say is.....If Carlsberg did neighbours.....💔
