Helen was a great woman, a professional capable practical nurse & matron. She looked after the residents of the Plunkett Home so well. She was always on top of her job, calm organised, personal & truly professional. n my role as Hospital Administrator I loved to visit the Plunkett Home, meet Helen & see at first hand the caring service delivered to the residents. Both herself & Seán were great friends & so committed to the services provided to residents in the Plunkett Home.
On Saturday 4th November, 2023, we had a great day @ 50th Anniversary of the Opening of the new Plunkett Home. Sadly that was the last time I met Helen.
We will all miss Helen. May She Rest in Peace.

Dear Sean we offer our sincere condolences to you and the extended Coleman and Henry families on the sad passing of your beloved Helen. She was a brilliant nurse and an excellent Matron of The Plunket Home.She was so proud of her home and garden and it was a treat to visit both.Dispite her busy workload she never neglected feeding the birds or walking her dogs.With her late brother Willie she mastered the game of bridge and enjoyed weekly games in Boyle and Ck on Shannon. Mid week games of 25were played with her neighbours. May she rest in peace.
