She was an important figure in life on the Green Road when I was growing up, a great character, one of the Mammies who was a powerhouse of energy with an abundance of zest for life. I was away when l heard about Helen and was so sorry l could not get back in time for her funeral. I always found Helen to be so friendly, welcoming and wise and will miss her around the community. My deepest sympathies to her lovely family at such a sad time.
