I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing and wish to extend my sincere condolences to Bernard and to the Gahan and Roche families at this sad time. I have very fond memories of working with Helen (mostly on trade union matters) and very much appreciated her insightful and level-headed approach, and of course her unfailing good humour. All those years ago Helen very generously gave me a gift of a set of Simon Pierce Hand Crafted crystal glasses which we still have today. We shall raise a glass tonight in her memory with those very same glasses.

Dear Bernard, my sincere condolences on the passing of Helen. I worked with Helen on international projects at the IIRS during the early days when I enjoyed her fiesty good humour and benefited form her thoughtful advice and professionalism. Helen was an instigator of the annual reunion of colleagues at the HYC and NYC yacht clubs when she kept us up to date on the news. Due to an earlier commitment to a family birthday I regret missing her funeral service. May Helen rest in peace.

Dear Bernard, I would like to have attended Helen's funeral but mobility issues prevented it. We were all colleagues together in the IIRS and she was much respected and loved. I also have fond memories of playing bridge with her and Phil Thornton in Ranelagh. I hope your memories will help you at this time.

I am sorry to learn of the death of my former class mate (UCD Chemistry late 1960s), Helen. She was great company. My sympathies to Bernard and to her brother, Paddy and to her extended family.

Helen and I had such fun working together in Glasnevin. I have such great memories especially from a couple of around Ireland road trips we took with our database.
Helen was a style icon, a lady filled with wisdom, a woman ahead of her time. Helen was a great mentor and friend to me. Rest in peace dear Helen.
