To Aidan and the girls I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Galvin features very much in my childhood memories, from the wonderful birthday parties and not to forget the fun at your house at Halloween, and anyone who was around for the showing of ET in Galvens house what a day ! with Mr. Proveda providing the technology of the day.
How did we all fit ? The whole of Millfield in Mrs. Galvins lovely sitting room.

This is our story……..
As we both know, Miracles do happen.
For so long I have searched for my mother’s (Margaret Ryan) family but could not find out any information. However, by the power of Facebook, I somehow found the Bray Community page and your old friend and neighbour, Ann Harvey put us in contact with you. I couldn’t believe my luck and that was one of the best days of my life, to meet you and your family and complete my search.
Aidan once told you, that one day a big burly boy would knock on your door…. And I did. At that point the Welsh/Irish Celtic family united for good. Our bond was quite unbelievably strong and even though we had never met, I felt at home in your presence.
Our lifeline became your mobile phone which was a present from Linda and that you were very reluctant to use initially. This became a family joke! We were able to share our lives daily by phone or text and this was a comfort to both of us.
Although our time together was quite short, lasting only a couple of years, I felt that I had known you my entire life and I have some lovely memories of you and your beautiful family, so thank you so much for that.
Rest easy Aunty Helen, and thank you for being you!

I am incredibly sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. She was a real character when we were growing up and even in later years when I came back to visit my folks, we’d always have chats and laughs in the garden. I remember she used to have us tortured at Halloween, never handing over anything until we sang a song. They were great years growing up in Millfield and Helen was one of the main characters with her unmistakable laugh and her love of a good joke. Always larger than life itself and always a great neighbour to have. May she rest in peace.
