An incredible woman has gained her angel wings. Losing a parent creates an unspeakable grief like none other. Our Mothers are there when our first breath was taken, and many times we are there when they take their last. They held us when we entered the world, and we held them when they left. The aching hole this leaves in your hearts cannot be filled. Mothers are not replaceable, however the reflection of Helen’s goodness, wit, kindness and love will be forever reflected in her beautiful family. Helen left beautiful imprints in every heart she met. Although painful, your separation is temporary. You will be reunited one day and will spend eternity together. Our hearts are broken for you. We are here for you and love you very much. Rest in peace, dear Helen. You made this world a better and brighter place. ♥️

I had the great honour of getting to know you, even if just for a short while. You were a force to be reckoned with, and I knew it from the moment that we met. There are people who would think that this is a negative thing to say. Some people are scared of strong women. Women that speak their mind. Woman that know themselves and their worth. Thank you for reminding me that it’s ok to speak loud. To show people that we are more than what we are expected to be. Thank you for showing me what real strength is, and how we can get thru anything. I found a heart shaped rock walking along a river bank the day you passed, and it wasn’t by chance. Cora loves finding them and it made me think of you two. Everything happens for a reason. Our lives crossed paths, and I’ll be forever grateful that they did. You will be deeply missed by everyone that knew you. I was so sad to hear that Helen had passed away. My deepest condolences to Cora and Bernadette and all of Helen's family and friends. She was a wonderful person, with a beautiful smile and a big heart and a spirit of generosity. When I was a volunteer helper I had the good fortune to meet Helen on a WIT summer school for adults many moons ago, and still recall her kindness, her smile,laughter and optimistic approach to life.

May Helen have eternal peace and rest

We met in 1980 and have shared some good memories since then. The fondest were of my 2 girls with Cora and Shane. Helen always made our visits to Ireland special memories and it will forever be appreciated. We were so blessed to see her in July. Sadly you will be missed here on earth but we know the angels have you now. Sending our thoughts to the family.
