I am so sorry to hear of the death of Helen. We knew each other well decades ago but Helen and I recently reconnected as we met in lectures at the 3rd age university. I wish all the family every sympathy at their loss. She was full of life and quick witted humour.

I am so shocked to hear of Helen's passing. I have very fond memories of her. I wish Jon, Philip and Rachel and all the family lots of strength at this sad time.

So sad to hear of Helen's passing - but such strong and warm memories as a teenager, of the many days, nights and mornings at the house in Sandycove. Helen always the most interested, caring and tolerant host. She tried to teach me French and get me to eat more adventurous food. The small things always mattered. There was always a welcome, even when we were hauling oily, mucky racing bikes through the kitchen.

Philip, Rachel and Jon - sorry for your loss, and sending all my love and thoughts.

Dear John, Philo and Rachel. We are so saddened by the sudden passing of your lovely mum. We have known her for years now and got very close. I enjoyed readings books in French with her, some made us laugh, some made us cry and we talked a lot. She loved you all and was very proud of you and your children! My children Charlie 13 & Shauna 10 loved going to her for their piano lessons and it was really hard yesterday to announce the news. They were devastated. Your mum was a warm, witty, arty, intelligent woman. A fighter. There was so much energy and passion in that frele body. We will miss her dearly. Reste en paix chère Helen.
