So sad to hear of Helen's passing. I got to know her through her illness and was struck by her dignity and autonomy despite everything she had to face. She would always appraise my outfits and we'd enjoy laughter as well as tears. My thoughts are with Helen, Peter, and their families, may Helen rest in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of Helen's passing. Helen was so welcoming and kind to me when I began teaching in Oylegate. The care and dedication she gave to the children she worked with was wonderful, and the children adored her. Helen was always quick to smile and had a great sense of humour. I have many fond memories of Helen during my time in Oylegate. My sincere condolences to Peter, her father, Helen's brother Brian, her niece and nephew who she loved so much, her extended family and her many friends. May Helen rest in peace.

Helen was a wonderful teacher, I had many years of getting to know Helen as she taught my 5 children from eldest Dean to youngest Lee, which she had for 4 yrs. Lee always expressed how Helen was his favourite teacher and felt they had special bound,
Helen was a lovely caring, kind and friendly teacher, we will forever have wonderful memories of Helen.

Having worked as an SNA in Helen's classroom for many years I saw first handed how she cared so much for all her students whom she gave great guidance and wisdom to and her teachings will live on through each and every one of them.
