Only recently heard of Helen’s sad passing. My deepest condolences to Patricia (former colleague), Gerry and Kieran. I worked with Helen’s Dad, the much missed and inimitable, Pat. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis 🙏

It is with deep shock and sadness that we found out today of the untimely passing of the beautiful person of Helen and also of her beloved mom Eileen. So desperately sorry to have missed both funerals but we never knew. The O Shea family were very good to me during my time living in Dublin in the 80’s and most especially Trish and Helen.
I remember Helen being truly beautiful in face and in nature with a gorgeous smile. I remember Eileen’s kindnesses. May they both rest together in eternal peace.

Her brother Kieran and my brother Alan were very close … she was a Role Model for me - when I worked as Language Hostess for French and German - on board Irish Ferries - St Killian 11 - with Kim Cassidy - only two women in Senior Management positions in the 80’s … I guess my career has taken a lead from you both ❤️❤️❤️

So sorry to hear this news. Helen was my godmother and when I was a small child (and she was a young woman) it seemed to me as though I had a fairy godmother - beautiful and glamorous and kind! As I grew older, I came to know that Helen was all those things but also smart, hardworking, charismatic and funny. She had a knack of making people feel at ease in her presence and I always enjoyed time spent in her company. Truly a loss.
