As a young married teacher, new to Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh, it was a joy to meet Helen, here & there, in the evenings after school, as she & I fulfilled our “ take the children out in the air” routine. Helen was always warm hearted, kind & uplifting. I always felt happier for having met her.

At a personal level, I remember Mrs Plant as an iconic figure in St Catherine’s, she was hugely respected and loved by children, colleagues and parents. She leaves a wonderful legacy in the great number of children she influenced.
